The Saatchi Gallery is specifically geared towards introducing a younger audience of art students and enthusiasts to work at the cutting edge of contemporary art. The facilities - at the Gallery, via the website and in the Gallery classroom for schools - endeavor to ensure that teachers receive the best on-site and outreach support possible for their students.
Our Teachers' Evenings offer a private view of the current exhibition with a curatorial tour and a drink. The evenings are a fantastic opportunity to become familiar with our exhibitions and obtain ideas for your own teaching. You can also find out more about our education programme, and how we can tailor talks and workshops to suit different groups and learner needs.
ADMISSION TO THE GALLERY IS FREE
Group visits to the gallery are free, with free guided tours provided if booked via the Education Department. To download a booking form for school visits and tours click here.
Hybrid Icons: A Collection
March 20th - April 12th 2019
The Education Department is pleased to a collection of images made by students during the ‘Hybrid Icons’ workshop. Inspired by the work of John Stezaker, who featured in Black Mirror: Art as Social Satire, students were asked to create their own version of the artist’s ‘Mask’ series. Students transformed the identity of the original image and used collaging techniques to fashion alternative personas.
This exhibition features work from students of all ages and ability.
